The company
Who we are.
Unison runs recurring facility programs — janitorial, day porter, floor care, glass, disinfection — for properties across the Valley and Greater LA. We work from an office on Canoga Avenue in Warner Center, which is close enough to most of our sites that a supervisor can be standing in your lobby the same morning you call.
Every line is delivered in-house rather than brokered out. That is the whole business model: one vendor across the building, one written scope, one account manager, one invoice. When something is wrong, there is exactly one number to call and nobody to point at.
We are not the cheapest quote you will receive. We are the one that puts the task list, the frequency, and the inspection schedule on paper before the first shift, and then holds to it.

What we believe
Five operating principles.
-
Show up.
The shift happens on the night it is scheduled. Everything else in this list is worthless without it.
-
Write it down.
Scope, frequency, price, and access are on paper before the first shift. Nothing important is agreed verbally.
-
Supervise it.
A named supervisor walks the building on a set cycle, whether or not anyone has complained.
-
Check it.
Inspection is scheduled work, not a response to a problem. Condition is recorded, not remembered.
-
Fix it in writing.
A correction is raised, scheduled, and closed on paper with a name and a date attached.
How we're built
Hiring, training, supervision.
Directly employed crews
Crews are on our payroll rather than brokered from a labour supplier. It costs more and it is the only way to hold a training standard, a screening standard, and a consistent face at your building.
Screening and onboarding
Background screening before assignment, identity and work authorisation verified, and site-specific onboarding before a first shift — not on it.
Training
Chemical handling and dilution, colour separation, equipment use, and the written scope for your specific building. Clinical and food-adjacent sites carry additional training on top.
Supervision structure
Every site has a named supervisor and a named account manager. The supervisor walks the work; the account manager owns the relationship and the paperwork. Neither role is shared with a call centre.
Whether crews are directly employed or partly subcontracted is marked [CONFIRM] in the spec. The copy above states direct employment as the recommended default — flag it if that is not accurate and we will rewrite rather than soften.
Compliance & credentials
Paperwork, on request.
- Licensed, bonded, and insured — {{INSURANCE_DETAIL}}
- Workers’ compensation coverage on every crew member
- Certificates of insurance issued naming your entity or landlord
- W-9 and vendor onboarding paperwork available on request
- OSHA hazard-communication and safety training — {{CERTIFICATIONS}}
- References available on request from comparable properties
What we don't do
Four things we decline.
-
No lowest-bid work
A price that only works if corners are cut will cut them. We would rather lose the bid than staff it thin and fail in month four.
-
No unsupervised crews
If a site cannot carry a supervisor in its scope, it cannot carry our name on the work.
-
No verbal scopes
If it is not written down, it is not in the program. That protects you more than it protects us.
-
No unnamed subcontracting
You should always know whose crew is in your building at 11pm, because we do.
